Bill Jensen is a Capital Region teacher and musician with a Bachelor of Music Education (BME) from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass. Bill studied under Gary Burton, an internationally acclaimed vibist, Howie Mann, a prominent Long Island drum instructor, Fred Buda, an accomplished Boston percussionist who is the principal percussionist with the Boston Pops, Alan Dawson, one of the world's top jazz drummers, and other excellent instructors.

Bill has given drums, piano and vibes lessons in Scotia, Schenectady, and Albany for over 25 years. His piano and vibes program includes theory, improvisation, scales and chord symbols. Drum instruction styles include jazz, rock, Latin, orchestral and rudimental. Piano styles include jazz, pop, rock and classical.

A unique aspect of Bill's instruction is his ability to play several different instruments, allowing him to accompany the pupil during the lesson. This enables the student to gain the invaluable experience of performing with another musician.

Bill has performed throughout the Eastern US. He has worked with many of the top musicians in the Capital Region. Bill's performance styles include jazz, rock and pop music. He performs professionally solo or with a band. He performs in musical theater and entertains at various venues and is available for parties and receptions.
